Darjeeling - the queen of Hills

Darjeeling is known as the queen of the hills. The town famous for its tea gardens and the beautiful view of the kanchenjunga range of mountains that it provides. The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway commonly known as the toy train, runs regularly from Siliguri to Darjeeling. The train has been awarded World Heritage status by the UNESCO. Major tourist attractions of Darjeeling include the Lloyd Botanical garden, Bengal Natural History Museum, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute etc.

The state of Sikkim was little known to the outsiders even a few years ago. The state is known as the land of mystic splendor.
