About Eastern Himalaya Travel and Tour Operators' Association

Eastern Himalayas Travel and Tour Operators’ Association (EHTTOA) is a statutory body formed to maintain integrity and harmony among the tour operators from Siliguri and its tourism. We aim at maintaining a tourism harmony and we are supported by Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in North Bengal (FOCIN). EHTTOA has earned the distinction of being a widely engaging Grass root level association working towards the betterment of tourism and people engaged in travel trade here. Our reach spread across Northeast India and have members from throughout the region, working collectively towards lifting the standards of tourism in the region. Set up in early 2002, the association has played active role in promoting tourism and ensuring standardized information and service for the visitors from across the world.

The prime activity of our association is to co ordinate with the members from other similar associations both within and outside our region. We have been assessing the tourism policies formulated by the government and working together to uplift the tourism infrastructure and to create a tourist friendly atmosphere. We hope to ensure a hassle free travel for all visitors and to eliminate the harassment they face at various tourism hubs. Our primary goal is strengthening the tourism sector in our East Himalayan region.
